Costa Rica is simply fabulous
When my fiance and I were planning for our honeymoon, we wanted to go to a place that had wonderful scenery, fantastic natural attractions and full of warm and friendly people. We shortlisted a few countries from Central America to Europe and Asia Pacific but just couldn’t make up our mind on where to go. Well a TV reality show helped us to decide on the place as the show was shot in Costa Rica and it had the pristine and beautiful beaches and oceans as the backdrop of the show. We were very excited when we saw the show and knew instantly that that would be the place for our honeymoon. Our Costa Rica honeymoon started off in San Jose which is the capital city where apart from San Jose, we also visited the nearby towns such as Heredia where it is known for its colonial architecture and rolling hills. It was a great way to start our honeymoon and our next stop was the beach on the Nicoya Peninsula. We rented a car at San Jose and drove ourselves to Puntarenas and then took a ferry over to the Nicoya Peninsula. The drive to Puntarenas was worth it as the route was very scenic and we stopped along the way to savour some of the local delicacies and cuisines. So we finally reached Montezuma Costa Rica after 5 hours on the road but we were not tired at all as the journey was really enjoyable. Montezuma Costa Rica is a great place for honeymoon as it is not as commercialized and the beach is less crowded. So we had a great time swimming and taking long walks on the stunning Montezuma beach. In fact we even had time to go horse riding, it was our first time but we had fun riding on the beach all the way to a waterfall where we stopped for lunch that was prepared by the hotel. For most nights, we ate in the restaurants in the main street of the town and some of them are really unique as they do not have any menus so you eat what is being cooked for the night. That makes eating there exciting because every night is a different experience. For those who love to party, there’s a bar on the main street which is famous for its wild parties on the weekend. So you could say that Montezuma had it all for a great honeymoon experience.
